Mr. John O. Felactu founded ORTELUSA in the early 90’s in Los Angeles, California. In ORTELUSA’s early origins, Mr. Felactu consulted to and assisted brand name retained search firms with their more complicated and challenging searches. After taking on numerous problematic retained searches and turning them into successful assignments, Mr. Felactu then transitioned his signature executive search formula to focus on serving corporate America’s executive selection requirements.

Today, Mr. Felactu is recognized as one of the premier consultants in the retained executive search field and is known with in industry circles. Mr. Felactu’s results orientated search process has become appreciated and utilized by some of the most admired companies in America. Through launching this innovative search firm, he continues to strengthen client organizations and increase shareholder value with in microprocessor, Internet service provider, computer hardware, biotechnology, multimedia, defense technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, and software industries.

Prior to founding ORTELUSA, Mr. Felactu spearhead the high technology and consumer executive search practice for the 8th largest retained search firm in the nation. In his tenure with the firm, he set an unprecedented firm record by recruiting and placing a number of key executives into client companies such as Packard Bell, NEC Electronics, Digitalk, Printronix, Esterline Technologies, Simulation Sciences, Quantum Corporation, Seagate, Hewlett Packard Sterling Software, Datametrics, Herbalife, AST Research, and Fairchild Electonics. Mr. Felactu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and is an active member in the Southern California Software Council and American Electronic Association.
